Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Retention Election
What is a retention election?
Every ten years in a Supreme Court Justice’s term, voters are asked if they should be kept, or retained, to continue serving. A “yes” vote grants the Justice another ten-year term. A “no” vote removes them from the Court and begins the process to replace them.
On November 4, Pennsylvania voters get to directly elect our state Supreme Court justices—which means voters like you have a powerful voice in the justice system!
